Practical notes on DefaultApplVerID
DefaultApplVerID on the Logon sets the application version used for every message on a FIXT.1.1 session that does not carry its own ApplVerID (1128).
- It is required on the FIXT.1.1 Logon.
- It takes the same codes as ApplVerID: 9 for FIX 5.0 SP2 is the usual value.
Common mistakes
- Leaving it off the Logon, which gets the Logon rejected or the connection closed.
Changes between FIX versions
- Introduced with FIX 5.0 and FIXT.1.1.
